Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
It is a new type of overhead power line system designed specifically for secondary distribution networks. It completely changes the traditional bare wire wiring method by fully insulating and twisting the phase and neutral wires, achieving higher safety, reliability, and environmental adaptability. It is an ideal solution for the renovation and construction of urban and rural distribution networks.Choosing ABC means choosing fewer power outages, higher safety, and lower long-term operating costs to provide future oriented power security for the community.
Conductor: High conductivity annealed aluminum wire (or copper wire) is used, which is lightweight and cost-effective.
Insulation layer: Each conductor is wrapped in weather resistant polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material, providing excellent insulation protection against moisture, salt spray, acid rain, and UV aging.
Twisting method: Multiple insulated wires (usually 3 phase wires+1 neutral wire, or more) are twisted together in parallel at a pitch, with a compact structure and high strength. The neutral wire can also serve as a load-bearing cable or have an independent load-bearing component.
The center consists of one or more high-strength galvanized steel wires, which are then twisted with multiple layers of aluminum wires.This structure perfectly combines the conductivity of aluminum and the mechanical strength of steel, allowing it to withstand enormous tension and harsh weather conditions such as strong winds and ice and snow.(ACSR) has become an irreplaceable "protagonist" in the field of modern high-voltage transmission due to its excellent conductivity and extremely high mechanical strength.
